consulting assignment.
Strategic Planning For Users
- Review and/or redefine the mission statement of the company and of the
group intending on using the CAD system

- Design and develop standards and procedures for coordination and
management of electronic databases from consulting engineers
- Review/develop opportunities for using the CAD databases beyond
construction documents (i.e. preliminary design, takeoffs, facilities management)
- Research and develop programs and techniques for improving the quality
and quantity of production and design
- Troubleshooting
- Keep you informed about new procedures and acquisitions that might affect
the utility of your operations
Retainer Work
- Keep tabs on the marketplace and report on items of interest to the
Client
- Provide and update an independent competitive analysis of the
Clients product

- Install product and check out adequacy/proficiency of technical support
system.
- Fast-track absorption of product and concepts at my site with your
support staff on site.
- Exploration of product extents, capabilities, weaknesses.
- Develop quick wish lists.
- Isolate and explore products strengths for market exploitation.
- Isolate and explore products weakness to avoid in market
strategies, and prepare work-arounds in case of identification by competition.
- Interview Users to identify other areas of promise and concern.
- Expand upon wish lists to provide strategic direction to product
development.
- Establish market positioning, identify target markets, and develop
competitor profiles.

Competitive Bidding Situations
- Perform a technical review of the RFP.
- Develop mutually acceptable parameters for potential bidding teams in
competitive bid situations.
- Analyze all potential bid team members viability.
- Determine the relative viability of several potential teaming partners.
- Oversee technical teaming negotiations with bid partners.
- Negotiate technical aspects of third-party software.
- Submit technical questions for clarification.
- Analyze the RFP and prepare a configuration to respond on a Sub-
line-item level (SCLIN).
- Develop compliance matrix for all technical sections.
- Explore third-party software options to fill compliance matrix.
- Manage all technical issues related to all non- bid-partner software.
- Develop a cost model in spreadsheet form.
- Prepare sample pricing for entire technical bid.
- Act as the clients agent for technical oversight of partners
technical response.
- Perform initial and supplemental Red Team reviews of entire CAD technical
proposal.
- Perform initial and supplemental Red Team reviews of LTD/OCBD.
- Follow the RFPs amendments and supplements, and analyze the impact
of each.
